Not to be missed in winter
- Skiing in the Mottolino Fun Mountain Sky area. It's not just a ski slope, but a real mountain dedicated to fun in the snow! There are 7 lifts for 27 ski slopes: 6 easy slopes, 15 intermediate slopes and 5 black slopes, dedicated to experts. For those taking their first steps on skis, there is a school camp where you can take lessons. The Fun areas are dedicated to fun: Yepi, for the little ones accompanied by a mascot; Freeride Cross, which combines freeride and freestyle; Natural Pipe and Natural Mogols; Self Timing, where you can challenge your friends on a Giant Slalom-style track.
- One of the most exciting and fun activities is dog sledding at the Husky Village in Arnoga, between Livigno and Bormio. This is an unusual experience, catapulting you into frozen Alaska. Let yourself be pulled by beautiful huskies, driving the sled yourself. There is nothing more beautiful than getting in touch with nature and the local animals, such as the splendid husky dogs, which love to run in the snow. There are many hikes you can do, the basic one takes about 40 minutes running on a sled for 5 km.
- There is a way to enjoy the views and discover new places: a ride on the Bernina Red Train. About an hour from Livigno, in Tirano, a magical train departs, which runs through snow-covered valleys and mountains to St. Moritz. In winter it‘s possible to choose the panoramic train carriage, entirely made of glass to enjoy the views of the Valtellina at its best. An experience not to be missed.
